Overview
We are seeking a skilled Upholsterer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for craftsmanship and a keen eye for detail, responsible for creating and restoring upholstered furniture. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with various tools and materials to assemble, build, and finish high-quality products.
Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and sew fabric according to specifications for upholstery projects.
- Assemble and build furniture frames, ensuring structural integrity and quality.
- Utilize hand tools and machinery, including CNC equipment, to complete upholstery tasks.
- Perform heavy lifting as needed to move materials and finished products.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace in the warehouse environment.
- Follow safety protocols when operating machinery and handling materials.
Experience
- Previous experience in upholstery or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate hand tools and machinery effectively.
- Experience in carpentry or warehouse settings is a plus.
- Familiarity with forklift operation is beneficial but not required.
- A willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment is essential.
