About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Brake Press Operator to join our growing fabrication team. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with CNC brake press machines, strong blueprint reading skills, and the ability to perform precise metal fabrication.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, program, and operate CNC brake press machines.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
- Perform accurate bends and shaping of metal components.
- Select and install appropriate tooling for each job.
- Inspect finished parts to ensure quality standards and tolerances are met.
- Conduct routine maintenance and keep machines in optimal condition.
- Work with the production team to ensure efficiency and safety.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of brake press operation and setup experience.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and precision measuring tools.
- Ability to calculate bend allowances and determine cut sizes.
- Experience in selecting tooling and performing setups independently.
- Familiarity with CNC programming for brake press machines is an asset.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
