Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Architect to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of software architecture principles and practices, with a strong background in designing scalable and efficient systems. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions that meet business needs while ensuring high performance and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Experience designing, planning, implementing and supporting infrastructure and application solutions in an architecture capacity for an environment equivalent in size and complexity to the Government of Alberta.
- Experience developing on cloud platforms and utilizing cloud services in development and in solutions.
- Experience in IT infrastructure architecture and the relationships among the components that make up an IT service from end-user devices to servers, networks, storage, applications and data.
- Experience supporting an enterprise IT environment.
- Experience working directly on site with end user troubleshooting technical computer related issues including software and hardware.
- Direct involvement in developing best-practices documentation (for example, operational procedures, network diagrams, etc.).
- Experience assisting clients to execute strategies with technology, process, organizational design and IT operations.
- Experience in completion of migration of applications and other technologies from one environment to another. E.G. Moves between data centers, moves to different platforms, moves to the cloud from on-premise installations
- Experience in defining technical architecture, building technical environments, supporting software development processes and initiatives, software configuration and database management.
- Experience leading an organization through a large scale technology change impacting all levels of the organization.
- Experience using MS Office 2010 products or higher versions.
