Job Description

• At i8is, we engineer intelligent digital solutions—from productivity apps like SSTrack.io to scalable AI and automation platforms. We're hiring a Back-End Engineer with strong experience in both Python and Node.js, who can architect robust APIs, manage secure and scalable databases, and integrate modern backend functionalities across systems.

  Responsibilities:

  • Develop robust RESTful APIs using FastAPI, Django, Flask, or Express.js.
  • Design and manage scalable, secure database schemas with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
  • Implement secure authentication, RBAC (Role-Based Access Control), and encryption best practices.
  • Work on async programming, background task queues (Celery, Redis, RabbitMQ, or Node cron jobs).
  • Ensure data flow integration across mobile, front-end, and desktop apps (e.g., ssTrack.io).
  • Optimize backend performance with caching, rate limiting, and API throttling.
  • Handle cloud deployments and container orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable features from concept to launch.

  Requirements:

  2+ years of professional experience in Python (Django, Flask, or FastAPI) and Node.js (Express or Nest.js).
  Solid experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Redis.
  Strong knowledge of ORMs like SQLAlchemy, Django ORM, or Prisma/TypeORM.
  Understanding of JWT, OAuth2, and API security protocols.
  Familiarity with GraphQL, WebSockets, and real-time data streaming is a plus.
  Proficient in using Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).
  Good grasp of code optimization, profiling, and unit/integration testing.
  Knowledge of secure coding principles (input sanitization, SQL injection prevention, logging, audit trails).
