Job Description

• We are seeking an experienced Counter Sales and Warehouse Assistant with HVAC industry knowledge to join our Concord, ON branch. This hybrid role combines customer-facing sales with hands-on warehouse responsibilities, ensuring exceptional service at the counter and efficient handling of HVAC inventory. The ideal candidate will have experience in HVAC parts supply, wholesale, or contracting environments, and be able to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting.

  Key Responsibilities

  Counter Sales

  • Greet and assist walk-in customers in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Process sales transactions accurately using QuickBooks Online.
  • Provide expert advice on HVAC products, availability, pricing, and application.
  • Handle customer inquiries, returns, and complaints promptly.
  • Promote sales and upsell products based on customer needs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors and repeat customers.

  Warehouse Assistance

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments of HVAC materials and equipment.
  • Organize and stock inventory to company standards.
  • Pick, pack, and label customer orders accurately.
  • Assist with safe loading and unloading of delivery trucks.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Conduct stock counts and support inventory audits.

  General Duties

  • Follow company policies, safety procedures, and operational guidelines.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet store and service goals.
  • Report discrepancies, damaged goods, or safety hazards.
  • Operate forklifts or material handling equipment (if licensed/trained).
  • Participate in training and development programs.

  Qualifications & Skills

  • Mandatory: HVAC industry experience (parts supply, wholesale, or related technical background).
  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical HVAC training preferred).
  • Experience in retail sales or warehouse operations in an HVAC environment.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in warehouse conditions.
  • Proficiency with inventory systems and QuickBooks Online.
  • Forklift license or willingness to obtain one is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

  Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour

  Expected hours: 40 per week
