Position Overview:
We are seeking an accomplished and highly experienced Senior Scrum Master to join our team, serving a prominent financial institution client. The successful candidate will be a passionate advocate for Agile principles, possessing a deep understanding of Scrum methodologies and a proven track record of guiding high-performing teams within complex organizational structures. This role demands exceptional facilitative leadership, a commitment to continuous improvement, and the ability to foster a collaborative and transparent environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Agile/Scrum Enablement: Act as a primary facilitator and coach for the team and organization, guiding them in the effective adoption and application of Agile/Scrum practices and values.
- Maturity Advancement: Assess the current agile maturity of teams and the broader organization, subsequently coaching and mentoring them towards higher levels of maturity at a sustainable and comfortable pace.
- Environment Cultivation: Champion the creation of a trusting and psychologically safe environment that prioritizes collaborative problem-solving and open communication.
- Facilitation & Resolution: Expertly facilitate crucial discussions, decision-making processes, and conflict resolution within and across teams.
- Communication & Transparency: Enhance internal and external communication channels, improve transparency, and actively promote the sharing of information across all stakeholders.
- Product Owner Support: Provide dedicated support and education to Product Owners, particularly in the critical areas of product backlog grooming and maintenance.
- Servant Leadership: Provide comprehensive support to the team, employing an inclusive leadership style and leading by example to empower team members and foster self-organization.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Agile Leadership: Demonstrated strong skills and knowledge in inclusive leadership, expert facilitation, keen situational awareness, effective conflict resolution, a commitment to continual improvement, empowerment strategies, and increasing transparency.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of professional experience, with a significant portion dedicated to Scrum Master or similar Agile leadership roles.
- Certifications: Possess a valid Scrum certification (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM)).
- Industry Experience: Experience within a Financial Institution is highly desirable.
